South Brent Primary School is a very special place to work, in a beautiful rural location. South Brent village is situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and surrounded by farmland.  The school benefits from extensive grounds providing a range of outdoor education areas.

Our dedicated team of staff and governors work together to create a school where there is a real sense of community and where staff and learners can flourish. Our school aims to provide a stimulating and fun learning environment where pupils are encouraged, supported, motivated and challenged to undertake their personal journey of discovery.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and motivated individual to join our school’s Learning Support Team. This is a permanent position working 21.5 hours per week, 39 week a year - term time only (Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 8:45am – 1:15pm (4.25 hours). Tuesday & Wednesday: 11am – 3:15pm (4.25 hours)).

This position will require the successful applicant to work throughout the school to support learning. This will include liaising closely with class teachers to support pupils development, support learning through a range of individual and group based interventions and provide supervision at lunchtime. A knowledge of the maths and English primary curriculum would be a distinct advantage but not essential as training can be given.
